We park the car
And watch the stars
If only
For a little whileA gentle grasp
As fingers clasp
And fumble
For one and otherI gaze at her
I know I’m sure that
This
Is what we live forLooks exchange
The feeling remains
A silence
Rejoiced in song
In your eyes
Electricity flies
A beautiful blend
Of science and artIn this space our
Two souls face
The one
That holds our heart.Chemistry -

I sit, I wait, I ponder in the silence.
I wonder how long it would take to climb Everest.
The sun gleams its beams of golden rays upon my face.
It’s touch is soft and warm,
Blinding light, glazing against the glacial glass—
I see better this way–
The black-ink letters scribed on a page
begin to dance among the bindings of a book.It doesn’t last.
The bath of brilliance becomes a trickle of illumination.I find myself back in the reality of my quiet familiar.
Still sitting.
Still waiting.
Still thinking.
Wondering…What time is it?
Three Twenty-Nine.
This is the place.
Will she come at all?
We never did set the meeting in stone,
Never established a timeframe in which to meet,
Simply the place in which we always knew to go.
If we met. That quiet familiar place that we had come to love.
The Quite Familiar
